We are seeking a talented and professional Consultant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Supports a high-impact engagement with a client in the financial services sector.
• Engineers will be staffed on a project focused on building a new Cryptocurrency platform, contributing directly to the development of scalable back-end services that power mobile, web, and other client-facing applications.
• Strong experience in back-end development with Java/Kotlin, and a track record of delivering high-performance services in complex systems. 
• Works within a product development agile scrum team leading and designing scalable backend solutions to power a crypto platform.
• Daily activities include hands-on programming in Java and Kotlin across a myriad of existing and new services, peer code reviews, design/review sessions, and sync meetings.
• Normal scrum activities such as stand ups, grooming, planning, and retros. 
• Display evolv’s core values in the way you act, speak, and work.
• Remain committed to successful delivery to the client on every engagement (success metrics involve deliverables met, client satisfaction, future project recommendations/extensions and collaboration).
• Prioritize operational excellence by meeting or exceeding all utilization goals.
• Contribute to evolv’s culture and personal development through collaborating well internally, displaying our core values, participating in internal initiatives (events/groups), and/or obtaining new certifications approved by leader.
• Help grow evolv by providing team member/client referrals and connecting with our internal network.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Core backend engineer.
• Proficient in Kotlin and Java, midsize systems, and troubleshooting.
• Should be a self-starter, accountable, and can work independently.
• Preferred Requirements:
  • Mid-level software engineering experience.
  • Proficient in Kotlin/Java Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Ideally has experience in leading and designing scalable systems leveraging EKS microservices, and event driven design patterns.
  • Proficient with backend development leveraging REST, gRPC, and websockets.
  • A high-performing self-starter, can do solid delivery but does not need to be Senior.
