As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Personal Loans team, you will own the borrower-facing experiences that drive Prosper's core business -- from rate check through funding. Using modern web and mobile technologies, you will build and maintain the applications that guide borrowers through one of the most important financial decisions they'll make. Your work will directly impact conversion, borrower satisfaction, and Prosper's top-line growth.

How you’ll make an impact
\n- Collaborate within a cross-functional team that includes product, design, backend engineering, and quality engineers to deliver seamless borrower experiences across web and mobile.
\n- Own projects end to end -- from technical design and architecture through launch, iteration, and measurement -- driving outcomes that move the business forward.
\n- Build and evolve our React and React Native applications within a pnpm/Turborepo monorepo, shipping features that work beautifully on every platform.
\n- Design and maintain shared component libraries and cross-platform modules that accelerate development across multiple product teams.
\n- Partner with backend and platform engineering teams to integrate with GraphQL and RESTful APIs in a performant, reliable, and secure manner.
\n- Identify and drive improvements in performance, testing, accessibility, and developer experience that make the entire team more effective.
\n- Uphold high standards of code quality and user experience while iterating rapidly in a regulated environment.
\n- Leverage AI-powered tools (coding assistants, automated testing, code review) to amplify your productivity and help establish best practices for AI-assisted development across the team.

Skills that will help you thrive
\n- BS in EE/CS with 8+ years of experience or MS in EE/CS or other applicable disciplines with 6+ years of experience
\n- Deep proficiency in React, React Native, and TypeScript, with the versatility to move seamlessly between web and mobile platforms.
\n- Hands-on experience with GraphQL (Apollo) and RESTful APIs to power high-performance applications.
\n- Familiarity with monorepos (pnpm, Turborepo), bundlers (Vite), and CI/CD pipelines to maintain a high-velocity development environment.
\n- Disciplined approach to automated testing using tools like Jest, Playwright, or Detox to ensure systems are meticulous and trustworthy.
\n- Active use of AI coding assistants (Cursor, Copilot) and a commitment to exploring new AI developments to enhance team productivity and solve product problems.

The salary for this position is $173,000 - $205,000 annually, plus bonus and generous benefits. In determining your salary, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Drupal development, Agile methodologies, and web application best practices. This role is remote and requires the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust.

• Develop, customize, and maintain Drupal-based applications for a government platform.
• Provide subject matter expertise on Drupal capabilities and best practices.

• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in web development, with a strong focus on Drupal.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and participation in Scrum ceremonies.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Drupal theming, module development, and customization.
• Ability to work in a government environment requiring a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Skills.
• Experience with Drupal 9 or later.
• Familiarity with Section 508 compliance and accessibility standards.
• Experience integrating Drupal with APIs, third-party services, and DevOps pipelines.
• Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Github, DDEV, Acquia Stie Studio, and cloud-hosted environments.
